The 2^nd annual Austin Wine Festival recently moved to the site of the new Whole Foods Market at The Domain.  The Memorial Weekend Festival featured wineries from Lampasas to New Braunfels, and Fredericksburg to Dripping Springs – part of the internationally awarded and recognized wine region in the Texas Hill Country  that has quickly become the #2 Wine Destination in the nation, second only to Napa Valley.

Wine purveyors and related vendors welcomed record crowds over the sunny Texas weekend.  This year’s festival goers enjoyed more wineries, a new Whole Foods Market Bistro and convenient free parking at the new location; plus plenty of great shopping and dining within steps of the event. 

Austin Wine Festival is the only wine festival in the State of Texas to offer direct to consumer tasting, which means guests can actually purchase wines they enjoy tasting on-site.  Proceeds of this year’s event benefit the Austin Farmers’ Market.
